Scope - what the app is, and what it is not
The product in one line
A branded portal where a woman who owns a small business signs in, tells an agent her goals, walks out with a written AI plan, and later finds her course modules waiting in the same place.
Two surfaces, one codebase
| Surface | Who it serves | Why it exists |
|---|---|---|
Web app at app.wtfisai.co | Everyone. The default. Works on a laptop at the salon front desk. | No review queue, ships the day it is ready, takes Stripe at 2.9% instead of Apple at 15% |
| SwiftUI iOS app | The Sept 1 App Store presence Michelle and Sheila committed to | Distribution and credibility. "Download the app" is a cleaner ask on social than "visit my site" |
Decided 2026-08-19: two real front ends, one account. Not a wrapper. Sign in on the web, open the iOS app, same person, same plan, same entitlements. Both clients talk to one shared API that owns all the logic, so the two surfaces cannot drift into two different products. Architecture in 03-open-decisions.md, decision 2.
Build order: web first (it can be live Sept 1 with no review queue), iOS submitted as soon as the Phase 0 screens are ported. If iOS slips, the launch still happens.
Release phases
Phase 0 - MVP, submitted to Apple by Sept 1 (the 08-08 commitment)
Everything here traces to the call. Nothing else ships.
- Sign in and account creation
- The goal-to-plan agent, with the two paths from the call:
- Career: your goals in, your first AI project plan out
- Business: your goals in, your first internal AI tool plan out
- The free resource shelf: the three lead magnets that already exist in
WTF-EDU/leadmagnets/ - Sheila's intro video (one video, but it establishes the whole video pipeline)
- Email capture wired to Kit, so every download builds the list
- A "101 is coming" placeholder that captures intent
Phase 1 - the 101 course portal
- Module list, 0 through 7, plus the two new modules from the 08-08 call (agentic framework, case studies)
- Video player per module
- Take-home asset download per module (the 8 one-pagers in
WTF-EDU/onepagers/are already built) - Progress tracking
- Purchase and entitlement
Phase 2 - the rest
- Android. Committed, not conditional. Sequenced after web and iOS because the web app covers Android users until then. Form is open, see PRD 001 D7.
- 102 / 201 build track
- Community forum and office hours
- The audit scorecard as a live tool, not a PDF
- The "female CTO" agent
Everything not in Phase 0 goes in the ClickUp post-MVP folder. That is the discipline the 08-08 call set up, and it is the only thing that protects the Sept 1 date.
Explicitly not in v1
- Community forum. The 08-08 call flagged engagement as unsolved. Do not ship a dead room.
- Anything that requires the full 101 to be recorded first.
- In-app purchase plumbing on iOS. See
03-open-decisions.md- this is the decision that most changes the build.
What already exists and can be pulled in on day one
| Asset | Location | Use |
|---|---|---|
| 8 module decks (HTML) | WTF-EDU/wtfisai_deck_101-module-*.html | Course content, and the source for the narrated videos |
| 8 module scripts | WTF-curriculum-obmd/WTFISAI-curriculum/video-scripts/ | Voiceover scripts |
| 8 take-home one-pagers | WTF-EDU/onepagers/ | Per-module downloads |
| 3 lead magnets | WTF-EDU/leadmagnets/ | The Phase 0 free shelf |
| Design system | Design-File-WTFISAI.md | Colors, type, components. Canonical. |
| 101 + 201 curriculum | WTF-curriculum-obmd/WTFISAI-curriculum/ | The module map |
The content problem is smaller than it looks. The decks, scripts, and one-pagers are done. What is missing is the two new modules from the 08-08 call, the recordings, and this app.
